About Historic Lollipop Farm Train

Historic Lollipop Farm Train is a restored vintage train that operates as a ride attraction in Huntington. Originally part of a four-acre children's farm and zoo in the 1950s and 1960s, the train took visitors around the property in an experience that drew families from across the region. The train cars and locomotive were restored by the Greenlawn-Centerport Historical Association after spending decades in storage and changing ownership multiple times. Volunteers with experience in vehicle restoration spent considerable time prepping, painting, welding, and laying track to return the train to working condition. The train now operates during summer at the John Gardiner Farm Stand. Visitors board the restored cars pulled by the working locomotive for a ride around the grounds. Children too small to ride alone must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, and riders must remain seated, hold on, and follow basic instructions while experiencing this piece of local history.
