Boscobel House and Gardens, a yellow Neoclassical mansion overlooking the Hudson River toward West Point, operates as a nonprofit historic house museum. Visitors tour the restored 1804 residence and explore 68 acres featuring lush gardens, woodland trails, and a seasonal program pavilion hosting chamber music and Fall Family Day with crafts and 19th-century games. Expert museum guides lead Insider House Tours through rooms displaying one of the finest Federal period furniture and decorative arts collections. The Design Shop inside the Visitor Center stocks Hudson Valley–made goods and books on regional design and history, open to the public regardless of museum admission. Active-duty military and their families receive free admission with valid ID. Veterans receive 50 percent off Gardens and Grounds admission, or 50 percent off House, Gardens and Grounds combined admission with proper identification. The site is located in Garrison, New York.
