About Adamson House Museum

Adamson House Museum is a historic 1929 residence in Malibu featuring original furnishings and an extensive display of renowned Malibu Potteries tile. Visitors explore the house through docent-led guided tours, available Wednesday through Saturday mornings and early afternoons, with tours departing approximately every 45 minutes on a first-come, first-served basis. The museum grounds and gardens remain open daily from morning to sunset, with informational panels throughout the property sharing the area's history. The adjacent Malibu Lagoon Museum, open the same days as house tours, is free to enter. A visitor center and gift shop stocks books about Adamson House and Malibu, historic postcards, and original tiles from the Malibu Potteries along with hand-painted replicas from local California potteries. Friday mornings feature guided garden tours that include a house tour. The museum charges admission for house and garden tours, with reduced rates for children. Located on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, California, the property is accessible via nearby paid parking lots.
