About The Wallace Family Learning and Innovation Center

The Wallace Family Learning and Innovation Center in Sidney, Ohio presents interactive galleries exploring Shelby County's history and development. Visitors explore "Our Legacy Begins" with an interactive map covering eight aspects of early settlement, then move through "Onward and Upward" to learn about the Miami and Erie Canal, railroad systems, and aviation history at Korn Field. "Our Land's Bounty" examines the county's geological resources and agricultural heritage, while "Industrial Ingenuity" showcases manufacturing from soybean processing with Cargill to Copeland scroll compressor production. The "People of Impact" gallery highlights community figures and explores how visitors might make their own difference. "Opportunity Awaits" focuses on innovation in local workforce and entrepreneurship. The center operates on a limited weekly schedule in downtown Sidney and welcomes group tours by arrangement.
