About Armstrong Air & Space Museum
The Armstrong Air & Space Museum in Wapakoneta, Ohio celebrates the life and legacy of astronaut Neil Armstrong and America's space exploration history. Visitors explore exhibits centered on the Apollo 11 mission, viewing the Gemini VIII spacecraft that Armstrong piloted during the first crewed docking of two spacecraft in orbit, an actual moon rock collected during the 1969 lunar landing, and two of Armstrong's original spacesuits alongside NASA and Soviet space garments from the Apollo and Space Shuttle eras. The museum also features a 30-minute documentary shown in a dome room. A typical visit lasts one to two hours. The museum is wheelchair accessible with ramps throughout galleries, free on-site parking, and one complimentary wheelchair available on a first-come basis. Visitors can use GoodMaps, a navigation app designed for wayfinding support, or check out tablets for their visit. Group tours and field trips are available.
