About The San Lorenzo Valley Museum
The San Lorenzo Valley Museum preserves and shares the history of the San Lorenzo Valley across two galleries housed in former church buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Visitors explore permanent and temporary exhibitions at the Grace Episcopal Gallery in Boulder Creek and the Belardi Gallery in Felton. Current exhibitions include Retrospect, a retrospective of the museum's first fifty years; The Road I Call Home, featuring photographer Randy Bacon's portraits of people experiencing homelessness; and Moments That Made US, exploring the Declaration of Independence through historical moments. The museum hosts heritage demonstrations featuring traditional skills like soaproot brush and cordage making, as well as community events including annual potlucks and gatherings. Rotating exhibitions showcase regional artists and themes celebrating American culture and identity. The museum operates in San Lorenzo, California, and welcomes visitors to view its collections documenting local history and contemporary artistic work.
