The Aviation Museum of Santa Paula occupies the historic Santa Paula Airport and operates as a California non-profit corporation dedicated to aviation education and history. The museum consists of multiple hangars, each displaying unique private collections of antique, classic, and experimental aircraft alongside automobiles including race cars, motorcycles, antique radios, jukeboxes, phonographs, paintings, photographs, model aircraft, and various aviation artifacts. The Chain of Hangars, gift shop, and aircraft displays are open for public viewing on the first Sunday of each month, with hours from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. weather permitting. The active airport adds to the experience, with flying activities visible both on the ground and overhead. The museum also offers special ground tours by appointment, providing visitors with opportunities to explore the rich aviation history associated with the Santa Paula Airport and its pilots.
