About Fillmore Historical Museum

The Fillmore Historical Museum preserves the history of Fillmore and surrounding communities including Bardsdale, Sespe, and Piru. Visitors tour three restored historic buildings on the museum grounds. The 1887 Fillmore Depot represents the region's railroad heritage. The 1905 Hinckley House reflects early residential architecture from that era. The 1919 Rancho Sespe Bunkhouse documents local ranching history. Museum volunteers have curated displays featuring photographs and memorabilia from these four communities throughout the region. Guided tours of the historic buildings accommodate schoolchildren, residents, and guests interested in local heritage. The museum operates Wednesday through Friday mornings and afternoons, and Saturday mornings, serving those seeking to understand how these communities developed and shaped the area's identity.
