Patchen Tree Farm and Pumpkin Patch operates two locations in the Santa Cruz Mountains near Los Gatos, offering seasonal activities at each site. During pumpkin season, visitors select from a variety of pumpkins and gourds, then ride Radio Flyer wagons through redwood groves to gather their choices. The farm features photo opportunities including an old red truck called "Betty," a meadow with picnic tables, and complimentary fresh popcorn and lemonade. Saturday and Sunday evenings showcase Harvest Nights with live music, wine from Burrell School Vineyards, and food from a local pizzeria. During the Christmas tree season, the farm offers eight varieties of trees in sizes up to 25 feet, priced by the tree rather than by height. The family-owned business has operated since 1969 and provides tree stands, wreath selections, hot cider, and bailing and tie-down services. Trees receive a Fresh-Patch treatment before leaving the property.
