About The Tech Interactive

The Tech Interactive in San Jose features hands-on galleries where visitors explore over 100 experiences showing how technological innovation tackles real challenges, alongside the BioTinkering Lab and The Tech Studio for tinkering projects. The venue houses the largest IMAX dome screen in the Bay Area with a world-first dome laser projector, showing educational films included with admission plus separate Hollywood releases. Visitors can check the daily schedule, then fuel up at The Tech Cafe for pizza, chicken fingers, or made-to-order sandwiches. The three-level museum is fully accessible, with free wheelchair borrowing, seating throughout, and gender-inclusive bathrooms on every floor. Active-duty military, Veterans, National Guard, Reserve personnel, and Retirees with valid military ID receive free general admission to galleries; additional guests in their party get $5 off adult tickets and $3 off child, student, or senior admission.
