About San Jose Museum of Art

San José Museum of Art engages visitors with contemporary art through painting, sculpture, film, and new media exhibitions. Visitors explore galleries at their own pace, attend docent-led public tours offered Thursday at 2:30pm and Friday through Sunday at 1 and 2:30pm, or participate in gallery talks such as the Motherboards discussion. The Museum Café serves gourmet sandwiches, soups, salads, and desserts, while the Museum Store offers art-related merchandise both in person and online. The venue hosts First Fridays monthly, featuring a lounge-like atmosphere with a DJ and open galleries after 6pm. Community Days celebrate Día de Los Muertos and Lunar New Year with art-making activities and entertainment. Youth 17 and under receive free admission, as do college students and teachers with valid ID. EBT cardholders can bring up to four people free.
