About Castle Rock State Park

Castle Rock State Park features sculpted sandstone formations, lush forests, and sweeping vistas from one of the Santa Cruz Mountains' highest ridges. Visitors hike the Castle Rock Loop trail and explore the park's geological formations during day use, which runs from 6am to sunset. Trail camps are available with registration or reservations. The park is located on Highway 35, just 2.5 miles southeast of the junction with Highway 9 in Los Gatos. Fourth graders and their families receive free entry through California's 4th Grade Pass at this park.
