About The Lawrence Hall of Science
The Lawrence Hall of Science in Berkeley is a hands-on science center where visitors explore interactive exhibits, meet live animals in the Animal Discovery Zone, and watch films in the 3D Theater. The Planetarium presents astronomy shows, while the Prismatic Light exhibit demonstrates optical principles. Visitors discover that anyone can be a scientist through direct engagement with displays designed for all ages. Exhibits and public spaces undergo regular sanitization, and the facility uses hospital-level air filtration with 100% outside air and no recirculation. General admission costs $27 for adults and children ages 3 and up, while children 2 and under receive free admission. UC Berkeley students and staff, active-duty military members, and visitors presenting a state-issued SNAP Electronic Benefits Transfer card with valid photo ID qualify for free entry and can bring up to five additional individuals at no cost.
