About Mosaic Boulders

Mosaic Boulders is an independent bouldering gym in Berkeley where visitors climb on walls without ropes or partners. The setting team, led by USAC Level 4 routesetter Randy, creates fresh climbing problems every week, with beginner-friendly white tags alongside challenging projects for experienced climbers. The gym features high walls bathed in natural light, a patio for relaxing between climbs, and a community study table. Visitors can rent climbing shoes and purchase chalk. The space includes a bathroom and sits one block from UC Berkeley on Telegraph Avenue, making it accessible during class breaks or study sessions. Groups of up to twenty can climb during normal hours without reservations. Climbers generally need to be at least thirteen years old, though younger climbers are welcome under supervision during specific seasonal periods. First-time visitors can climb without prior experience or equipment.
