The Immersive Machine is an escape room adventure in Phoenix where visitors solve puzzles and complete story-driven missions within a themed environment. Players work as a team to achieve specific goals rather than simply escaping a locked room. The current mission, Sal's Cybernetics, places teams in a dark future setting where they must help smuggle a cybernetic upgrade and its creator off a planet. The experience combines humor, movie and game references, and puzzles designed for various problem-solving styles. Teams of two to six players have up to sixty minutes to complete their mission. The adventure is not scary and welcomes all ages, though children under thirteen must be accompanied by a parent or guardian in the room. Private rooms ensure teams play only with people they choose.
