Phoenix Zoo cares for over 3,000 animals representing nearly 400 species, including many threatened and endangered animals, across one of the largest non-profit zoos in the U.S. Visitors explore trails through animal habitats and encounter exhibits like the Arizona Trail, Isle of the Tiger, and Orangutan Bilik. The Zoo features the Petting Zoo in the Big Red Barn for interactive experiences. Sensory bags with fidget tools and noise-canceling headphones are available at Reception, with designated quiet zones throughout the grounds for guests needing to regroup. Wheelchair and stroller rentals are provided, and the Zoo has partnered with KultureCity to improve accommodations for visitors with sensory processing needs. Valid Arizona EBT cardholders can obtain up to four tickets for ten dollars each on Tuesdays and Sundays. Members of participating AZA zoos and aquariums receive 50% off same-day general admission.
