Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix showcases desert plants and ecosystems across themed garden trails. Visitors explore the garden on foot, taking morning strolls and audio tours, or join sunrise yoga sessions. The Garden After Dark features 12 glowing installations inspired by monsoon season design. Flashlight Nights occur Saturday evenings, while Dog Days of Summer allows visitors to walk leashed dogs on the trails during cooler early morning hours. The Cactus Cantina serves food and drinks. For children ages 3 to 5, Seedlings programs teach hands-on nature play through digging, climbing and exploration. The Cohn Family Butterfly Pavilion displays more than 1,000 Southwestern butterflies, including monarchs. Gertrude's restaurant opens at 6 a.m. daily. Tickets are sold online through the venue's website. Visitors using promo code HEAT26 receive reduced admission for entry after 8 p.m. each night.
