About Maricopa Live Steamers Railroad Club

Maricopa Live Steamers Railroad Heritage Preservation Society in Glendale operates scale model trains that visitors can ride on different 20 to 40 minute routes. The club preserves railroading heritage through members who research and build scale steam locomotives and modern diesels, as well as those who enjoy running trains, switching track, hauling and performing maintenance on the equipment. Many members construct their own locomotives and cars, while others operate club-owned equipment. Visitors can experience free train rides on Sundays, with trains departing between 11 am and 3 pm during the operating season. The facility also hosts birthday parties, company picnics and reunions on Sundays during regular run times. The club welcomes junior members under age 18 who are interested in railroading. Passengers must be able to walk and board without assistance, remain seated during rides and follow safety guidelines throughout their visit.
