About Schuylkill County Agricultural Museum

The Schuylkill County Agricultural Museum preserves the history of local agriculture through exhibits of antique farm equipment, engines, and household appliances. Visitors explore the collection on self-guided tours available by appointment or during the Schuylkill County Fair. The museum displays operating antique machinery including a 1906 Bessemer engine, a 40-horsepower oil field engine that once powered a feed mill, hit and miss engines, tractors, woodworking tools, and a working sawmill. Daily demonstrations show the operation of antique equipment and wood milling. Visitors vote on their favorite tractor through the People Choice Awards. The museum also hosts truck and tractor pulling competitions on a first-class track. A chalk board at the welcome area lists the day's schedule of events and demonstrations. The museum is located in Schuylkill Haven, Pennsylvania.
