About GoggleWorks Center for the Arts

GoggleWorks Center for the Arts is a nonprofit cultural campus occupying a former goggle factory in downtown Reading, Pennsylvania. Visitors explore 16 communal learning studios where they can take classes and workshops in ceramics, hot glass, warm glass, jewelry and fine metals, heavy metals, printmaking, drawing and painting, photography, woodworking, and textiles. The campus includes the Albert and Eunice Boscov film theater showing independent films and classics, three galleries featuring contemporary artists, and the New Store selling handmade gifts from local makers. An on-site art supply store serves students and artists. The campus also houses 35 artist studios, urban gardens, a digital media lab with virtual reality equipment, and a STEAM makerspace. Thorn Alley Kitchen provides food and drinks. General admission and parking are free daily. The venue serves roughly 250,000 visitors and participants annually through education programs, youth camps, community outreach, and visiting artist residencies.
