Schuylkill River Greenways National Heritage Area in Pottstown connects visitors to the Schuylkill River and the surrounding trail system through exhibits, outdoor recreation, and community events. The River of Revolutions Interpretive Center at the organization's headquarters features interactive displays exploring the region's role in three major historical periods: the American Revolution, the Industrial Revolution, and the Environmental Revolution. The center includes a relief map table of the Heritage Area, wall panels and video monitors documenting the Philadelphia Campaign, coal mining and manufacturing history, and mid-20th-century environmental cleanup efforts. A large wall map details visitor sites, recreational opportunities, and trails throughout the region. The outdoor PottstownRiverWalk extends the experience with a one-mile loop trail featuring interpretive signs covering birds, wildlife, woodlands, recreation, and watersheds. Visitors can also participate in seasonal activities like running, biking, walking, and kayaking along the Schuylkill River Trail, with organized events throughout the year.
