About Columbia Crossing River Trails Center Susquehanna NHA
Columbia Crossing River Trails Center serves as a gateway visitor education center and trailhead for the Susquehanna Riverlands, located in Columbia River Park on the eastern shore of the river. Visitors find maps, guides, and brochures related to river recreation, trails, and nearby historic sites. The center features rotating exhibits on local and river history, art, and the environment, including the current exhibit Ringing in 250: Stories from the Susquehanna. The 14-mile Northwest Lancaster County River Trail begins at the Columbia Crossing trailhead for hiking and biking. Columbia River Park offers powerboat and paddlecraft launches, picnic areas, and historical markers. A seasonal on-site outfitter provides canoe, kayak, and bike rentals with shuttle service. Educational programming brings river heritage to life for young people through exhibits and events focused on the river's historic, scenic, and recreational significance. Restrooms are available at the center.
