About Schiller Park Historical Society

The Schiller Park Historical Commission operates a research room at an elementary school where visitors explore the village's past through photographs, maps, newspaper articles, pamphlets, and costumes. The Commission maintains an educational curriculum for second through fifth graders and a docent program for selected eighth graders. Visitors can access the research room during fall, winter, and spring on the second Saturday of the month during morning hours. The Commission maintains records for the Military Service Wall of Honor at Clock Tower Park, documenting local military service. An interactive historical story map and Schiller Park timeline are available for those researching the village's development. The research room welcomes the public and serves visitors interested in local history, family genealogy, and community heritage. The Historical Commission accepts volunteers and welcomes inquiries from residents seeking historical information.
