About Motor Transport Museum

Motor Transport Museum in Campo preserves more than 300 antique vehicles and artifacts on the grounds of the historic Feldspar Mill Building, a ten-story landmark from 1925 that processed feldspar for porcelain and glass. The outdoor collection displays restored trucks and other vintage vehicles across the rural property. A working restoration shop operates on-site, where visitors can observe preservation work in progress. The museum also features an indoor exhibit area and research library housing archival reference books, manuals, and literature collections from the transportation industry. Docents guide visitors through the grounds and share the history of the Mill Building and its vehicles. The museum is located 50 miles east of San Diego in the Mountain Empire area. Group visits and private events can be arranged on weekdays by advance appointment.
