Casa Del Rey Moro African Latin Museum, also known as the African Diaspora Museum and Research Center, explores six thousand years of African world history through three main exhibit areas: the Africa Room, the Americas Room, and the United States Room. Each room presents extensive educational information displayed in charts, timelines, and graphics accompanied by culturally relevant items. The museum offers seven interactive traveling exhibits available for rental, including Ancient Nile Valley Civilization, African Continent Overview, African-Latin American Connection, African-American Stamp Collection, African-American Military-Colonial to Western Frontier, African-American Pioneers in San Diego, and African Diaspora Maritime. These exhibits align with California public school social-science frameworks from kindergarten through college level and include pre and post-visit activities such as geography map lessons, computerized vocabulary puzzles, and videotapes. The museum also features a bookstore and gift shop offering educational and historical publications, charts, posters, and cultural materials.
