About San Diego Botanic Garden

San Diego Botanic Garden spans 37 acres in Encinitas with 4 miles of meandering trails, ocean views, and 29 themed gardens representing 15 different regions worldwide. Visitors explore over 5,000 plant species and varieties across habitats designed for both children and adults. The garden hosts classes and programs including Sips & Science events in the Dickinson Family Education Conservatory, sound healing sessions, pollinator garden planning workshops, and a free Teacher Resource Fair for K–12 educators. A gift shop serves visitors throughout the grounds. Admission is charged; three paid tiers are published online. Tickets are sold online through the venue's site, with same-day re-entry available. Members receive free admission. Visitors with SNAP EBT or WIC cards qualify for reduced admission of $1 per person through the Museums for All program, as verified at sdbg.org.
