About Chula Vista Live Steamers
Chula Vista Live Steamers is a club established in 1974 that builds and operates scale models of live steam machinery and recreates railroads of past and present. Visitors ride aboard trains operated by club members on public run days held the second Saturday and Sunday of each month. The attraction features scale model steam engines that pull passengers along a main line track through Rohr Park. The club maintains and operates this equipment to provide educational entertainment for both children and adults. Rides run from noon until 2:30 p.m. on public operating days. The organization also hosts birthday parties and special events for groups of all ages at the park grounds. Chula Vista Live Steamers is located in Rohr Park in Bonita, California, where visitors can experience working miniature railroad operations and observe the detailed scale models that club members have constructed and maintained.
