Hoot's Hollow Farm in Bonita, California began as an egg farm and has evolved into a multi-purpose destination offering hands-on farm experiences for families. Visitors drive down a long driveway past the Big Blue Barn to access the property. The farm's signature Farm Eggsperience is a guided interactive program lasting two to two-and-a-half hours that includes several activities. Guests enter the chicken coop to hold and pet gentle chickens, bunnies, and quail while learning safe animal interaction. Each visitor paints a ceramic farm animal plaque to take home as a keepsake. The farm maintains a flock of over 300 colorful egg layers, and visitors learn to identify roosters and discover facts about chicken husbandry. Children participate in guided horseback riding with horses named Hoot and Odin, learning beginner horsemanship skills including steering, stopping, and backing up. The farm also accommodates field trips, parties, and weddings at its venue space.
