Heritage of the Americas Museum houses four rectangular wings of artifacts spanning natural history, archaeology, anthropology, and fine art across the Americas. Visitors begin in the Natural History wing, where meteorites, gems, minerals, fossils, and mounted animals and sea life specimens from around the world are displayed. The Archaeology wing contains pre-Columbian artifacts from throughout the Americas, while the Anthropology wing features items from the past two centuries following European arrival. The Art wing celebrates artistic expression and cultural heritage with rotating exhibits of historical and contemporary works. Tropical and Desert Garden Patios surround the circular building on the Cuyamaca College campus.
