About Island Rock
Island Rock is an indoor climbing gym where visitors climb on walls up to 30 feet tall, boulder on walls up to 15 feet, and rappel down a 25-foot tower. The facility spans over 14,000 square feet and features more than 100 top rope routes, 100 boulder problems, and 40 lead routes, along with two crack climbs. Climbers can train on an LED Moon Board, campus board, and hangboard area, or use the full training facility with free weights, weight machines, cardio equipment, and a GetRXd Ninja training rig with hanging accessories. A fully stocked pro-shop sells climbing shoes, harnesses, and apparel from brands including La Sportiva, Black Diamond, and Evolv. Island Rock offers youth programs, personal training, yoga classes, and birthday parties for groups. Climbers with a belayer can start at age four; bouldering requires ages eight and up. Located in Plainview, Island Rock has served Long Island's climbing community since 1996.
