The Dinosaur Science Museum and Research Center, located on the campus of Southwestern Adventist University in Keene, houses one of America's largest dinosaur fossil collections. Visitors interact with more than 45,000 dinosaur bones that are cleaned, cataloged, and preserved at the facility. The museum's searchable fossil database includes specimens representing 51 distinct species. The Dig Expedition offers participants the opportunity to quarry in an extremely rich bone bed where upper Cretaceous dinosaur remains are being discovered. This hands-on experience teaches quarrying techniques while providing the genuine experience of paleontological discovery. The museum features exhibits displaying fossils and research findings, along with educational programming that documents the scientific work conducted by paleontologists and research teams studying dinosaur specimens and field methods.
