About Amon Carter Museum of American Art
The Amon Carter Museum of American Art in Fort Worth holds thousands of artworks spanning over 200 years of American creativity. Visitors explore current exhibitions including The Statue of Liberty from Bartholdi to Warhol and Here Lyeth: Grave Rubbings by Ann Parker and Avon Neal. The museum offers public tours of galleries and special exhibitions on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, with virtual tours available from home. Families can use Art Discovery Guides on smart devices to navigate galleries, grab interactive ARTivity Totes from the Information Desk to explore themes through activities, and visit the Family Pop-up Space on the second floor to make and play. The museum also features a Library and Archives with rare periodicals, original artist books, drawings, and archival documents available by appointment or during public hours. General admission is free. Located in Fort Worth's Cultural District, the museum provides free parking on-site and operates with extended hours on Thursdays.
