About Historic Fort Worth

Historic Fort Worth, Inc. preserves Fort Worth's distinct historic identity through stewardship, education, and leadership. Visitors tour the Ball-Eddleman-McFarland House, Fort Worth's second landmark built in 1899, on Penn Street during scheduled hours. The museum offers guided tours through the restored rooms and original architectural details of this cattle baron mansion. The organization also stewards the 1953 Yates-Ottmann office building. Beyond museum visits, Historic Fort Worth presents membership tours of historic buildings not typically open to the public, including behind-the-scenes access to the Will Rogers Coliseum and The Armour. The organization hosts the annual Samuel Benton Cantey Lecture and Preservation Awards Reception. Members gain access to these exclusive tours and events, plus the Needle Art Show. Historic Fort Worth, Inc., established in 1969 and honored with the Texas Historical Commission's Governors Award in Preservation, operates as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to preserving historic structures and educating visitors about Fort Worth's architectural heritage.
