About Forest Park Miniature Railroad
The Forest Park Miniature Railroad offers a five-mile round-trip train ride through Trinity Park in Fort Worth. Visitors board at the depot and travel eastward, crossing the Trinity River on a 350-foot trestle bridge, the longest of six bridges on the route. The train passes under highways and through the tranquil park landscape, completing the circuit in approximately 40 to 60 minutes with one stop at the Trinity Park Snack Shack midway platform, where refreshments are available. Riders experience the modern Chance CP Huntington trains, which replaced the original Texas Chief engine in 1973. The railroad operates seasonally on select days, with trains departing hourly. Group outings of 25 or more persons are welcome. Established in the late 1950s as the world's longest miniature railway at opening, this Fort Worth landmark has operated for over 60 years and welcomes riders throughout spring, summer, and fall seasons.
