About Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth

The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth houses one of the leading collections of modern and contemporary international art in central Texas. Visitors explore permanent collection exhibitions and special traveling exhibitions such as Rashid Johnson: A Poem for Deep Thinkers, which traces the artist's work from photography and video to paintings and assemblages exploring art history and Black popular culture. The museum offers docent-led tours on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, with special Sunday family tours that include gallery activities for younger visitors. Café Modern, managed by Wolfgang Puck Catering, serves lunch, brunch, dinner, and bar service with seasonal menus. The Modern Shop offers curated gifts including books, jewelry, children's products, housewares, and prints. The museum also presents film festivals celebrating genres like anime. Located in Fort Worth's Cultural District, the museum charges admission and publishes its prices online. Hours and additional visitor information are available on the venue's website.
