The Audie Murphy/American Cotton Museum occupies ten acres in Hunt County and explores the region's history from 19th-century cotton fields through 20th-century battlefields. Visitors choose between guided tours for groups of ten or more or self-guided exploration of two main exhibits. The Military Hall of Heroes spans approximately 3,700 square feet and features a reconstructed World War I trench, an armory of antique guns, and extensive displays on World War II. The museum highlights regional and national military heroes, particularly Audie Murphy and Claire Chennault. The cotton exhibit documents the industry's impact on local history. All ages are welcome. The museum operates in Greenville, Texas, located forty minutes east of Dallas.
Hours: Tuesday – Saturday 10:00 am – 5:00 pm
