About Farmersville Heritage Museum

Farmersville Heritage Museum occupies one of two historic onion sheds built in the early 1920s, restored and located in downtown Farmersville's Historic District. Visitors tour exhibits highlighting local citizens who achieved distinction through talent, ingenuity, and bravery. The museum features extensive displays about Audie L. Murphy, Farmersville's most decorated World War II soldier, including exhibits on his family life, military service, and Hollywood career. The museum opens the first Saturday of each month during Farmersville's Farmer's Market, and also operates Thursday and Friday mornings. Additional openings occur during select holidays and special events. General admission is free, and parking is available. Private tours can be arranged by contacting the museum.
