About Derby Street Diorama Museum

The Derby Street Diorama Museum in Berkeley showcases miniature worlds created by local artists. Visitors walk along the sidewalk to view thirteen gallery spaces displaying dioramas that transform everyday objects into imaginative scenes. Featured exhibits include "Meditation" by Marilyn in the West Gallery, "Resistance: Process" by Kitt in the Lower West Gallery, and "The Dalai Rama" by the Curator. The Central South Gallery houses "Is This Just Fantasy" by Mercury, while the Lower East Gallery features "The Cover-Up" by Wizard. Additional displays appear in the Birdhouse Wing and East Lower Gallery. Each diorama invites viewers to peer into a separate world while reflecting on their own perspectives. The museum operates as a sidewalk installation and welcomes pedestrians to experience these carefully curated miniature artworks.
