About Workbits Co

Workbits Co is a makerspace and tech lab in Berkeley where children ages 6 to 18 design, build, and tinker with real tools and materials. Visitors turn their ideas into tangible projects they can hold, use, wear, or share. The facility offers hands-on exploration of art, design, 3D printing, Cricut machines, sublimation, sewing, electronics, podcasting, and creative projects in a facilitator-guided environment. The space is neurodivergent-affirming and family-friendly, structured around curiosity and the joy of making. Children can work independently or alongside a parent or caregiver depending on their needs. Facilitators guide activities while families remain actively engaged in the experience. Workbits also hosts CreativeExchange gatherings on the fourth Friday of each month, emphasizing creativity and community without pressure for perfection.
