About Brooklyn Uprising

Brooklyn Uprising is a bouldering gym in DUMBO where visitors climb on more than 100 boulder problems—short walls without ropes or harnesses—set over padded floors. Each problem is a compact movement puzzle of varying difficulty; climbers rest between attempts and progress at their own pace. The facility houses a full weight room with squat racks, free weights, and hangboards for strength training, plus a Tension Board 2 for focused climbing practice. A 12-person cedar sauna, showers, and changing rooms support recovery. Climbing 101 classes teach efficient footwork and body positioning, while one-on-one and small-group coaching help sharpen technique. Climbers age 16 and older can visit; those under 18 need a parent or guardian. Rental climbing shoes and chalk are available. The gym also offers co-working space and accepts visitors for single sessions or longer stays. Brooklyn Uprising is located in DUMBO in Brooklyn, New York.
