Avila Hot Springs operates a fresh water heated swimming pool with double slides in San Luis Obispo, where visitors swim, soak in natural mineral springs, and camp. The pool features an ADA-compliant lift and is naturally heated through an artesian hot spring. Red Cross Certified Lifeguards monitor both the pool and slides, which operate weekends from noon to 5 p.m. The venue offers private and group swimming lessons at six proficiency levels, from water safety fundamentals through lifeguard readiness. Visitors can also book massage therapy that includes a half-hour mineral pool soak, relax under palm trees with ocean breezes, and access the adjacent Bob Jones Bike Trail through Wally's Bike Rentals.
