About Whittier Museum
The Whittier Museum collects, preserves, and displays objects, documents, photographs, and artifacts that illustrate the history of Whittier and the greater area. Visitors explore exhibits covering the first hundred years of local history and beyond, spending thirty to sixty minutes viewing the collections. The museum also operates the Historic Jonathan and Rebecca Bailey House, where docent-led tours lasting about an hour guide visitors through the restored period home. The Whittier Historical Society produces special exhibits and programs of interest to the community, and the museum maintains an archival research collection available by appointment. A gift shop is located at the museum entrance. School and group tours are available by appointment.
