About Vintage Flying Museum

The Vintage Flying Museum is a working aviation museum where visitors observe restoration and maintenance of historic aircraft. Most aircraft are airworthy and fly regularly for air shows and demonstrations throughout the year. Visitors explore over 20 aircraft in various states of restoration, including the 1942 Vultee BT-13B Valiant and Jackie Cochran's Beech 18, currently undergoing restoration by volunteers. The museum houses extensive collections of artifacts and memorabilia spanning World War I, World War II, Korea, and the Vietnam era. Educational tours guide visitors through the aircraft and aviation history. The Rosie Memorial Rose Garden features a Rosie the Riveter mural celebrating local women aviators. The museum hosts the Annual Big Band Hangar Dance and Pancake Fly-In events. Staffed entirely by volunteers, the museum serves as home to five separate nonprofit aviation preservation groups. Located in Fort Worth, Texas, the museum serves visitors of all ages interested in America's aviation heritage.
