The USS Pampanito (SS-383) is a restored World War II diesel-electric submarine housed at Historic Pier 45 in Fisherman's Wharf, San Francisco. Built in 1943, the vessel serves as both a museum and memorial to those who served in the submarine service. During six Pacific patrols, the Pampanito sank six enemy ships and damaged four others. Visitors explore the submarine's interior through self-guided audio tours, which detail the vessel's history and the experiences of its crew.
