The USS Pampanito (SS-383) is a restored World War II diesel-electric submarine housed at Historic Pier 45 in Fisherman's Wharf, San Francisco. Built in 1943, the vessel serves as both a museum and memorial to those who served in the submarine service. During six Pacific patrols, the Pampanito sank six enemy ships and damaged four others. Visitors explore the submarine's interior through self-guided audio tours, which detail the vessel's history and the experiences of its crew. Docent-led tours are available by prior arrangement for groups seeking more detailed information. The meticulously restored submarine allows guests to walk through compartments and see the equipment and living quarters used by sailors during wartime operations. The museum operates daily, welcoming the public to board and experience life aboard an actual combat submarine from the Pacific Theater.
We check this attraction’s own website for offers. The last time we read maritime.org, on , there was no offer on it that we could verify.
The page stays here because the attraction is still worth knowing about, and because we keep checking. If a deal appears on their site, it appears here.
