Speer Family Farms operates a pumpkin patch in Alameda where visitors select from real pumpkins displayed among hay and corn stalks. The Alameda location features a train, slides, a zorb, and a petting zoo for hands-on activities. Visitors can ride the train through the patch, enjoy the playground slides, bounce in the zorb, and interact with animals at the petting zoo. The farm has operated since 1981 and maintains three locations across the Bay Area, each with its own character and offerings. After the pumpkin season ends, the operation transitions to Wonderland Trees, where the same locations offer fresh-cut Christmas trees and handmade wreaths available for in-person pickup or online ordering. Speer Family Farms welcomes school groups, nonprofit organizations, and scout troops for field trips at all three locations.
