About South Pittsburg Heritage Museum
The South Pittsburg Heritage Museum displays hundreds of historic items documenting the city's local history. Visitors examine old photographs of local people and buildings, an antique gas range manufactured in South Pittsburg during the 1920s, and cast iron cookware also produced locally. The museum houses additional locally made items alongside research materials available for viewing. Most objects are either donated or loaned to the South Pittsburg Historic Preservation Society to educate visitors about the region's rich heritage. The museum also features historic items from neighboring communities and relocated from the historic Cameron-Patton Hotel building to its current location, continuing its mission to preserve and share the area's industrial and cultural heritage with the public.
