About Seneca Art & Culture Center

Seneca Art & Culture Center is a 17,300-square-foot museum at Ganondagan State Historic Site that tells the story of Haudenosaunee contributions to art, culture, and society. Visitors explore an interactive, multi-media exhibit gallery with changing exhibits, watch the Iroquois Creation Story film in the orientation theater, and tour a fully furnished, full-size Seneca Bark Longhouse with reproductions of seventeenth-century Seneca objects and colonial-era trade goods. The center features an auditorium and gift shop. Outside, two signed interpretive trails educate visitors about plant life, Haudenosaunee culture, and history, while a third trail interprets Fort Hill, a large palisaded granary. The museum is suited to families, students, and anyone interested in Native American history and culture. A visit involves self-guided exploration of galleries and films, plus optional trail walks across the nearly 600-acre site. Seneca Art & Culture Center is located in Victor, New York, and charges admission with discounted rates for seniors, students, and children.
