About RMSC (Rochester Museum & Science Center)
The Rochester Museum & Science Center in Rochester, New York encompasses three facilities where visitors explore interactive exhibits, attend planetarium shows, and discover nature. The Museum & Science Center features galleries across three floors with hands-on activities. The Strasenburgh Planetarium presents shows including Planet Spectacular, Hubble's Immersive Universe, The Sky Tonight, and laser experiences like Laser ABBA and Laser Taylor Swift: Remixed. The Cumming Nature Center offers guided hikes led by expert educators. Visitors can attend birthday parties in the Chester C. Carlson Inquiry Room or host weddings in the Cunningham House. Multiple admission discounts apply: active military and veterans save $3, EBT or Medicaid cardholders receive reduced admission for up to four people, tribal members and RIT NTID students and staff enter free, and combined planetarium and museum tickets receive $4 off. Tuesday through Friday from 4–5pm, admission costs $2 less.
