Seawolf Park on Galveston's Pelican Island features one of the island's most popular fishing piers alongside picnic facilities and a playground. The park showcases three significant military vessels: the USS Cavalla, a World War II submarine; the USS Stewart, one of only three destroyer escorts of its class; and the remains of the S.S. Selma, a World War I tanker and the largest concrete ship ever constructed, visible northwest of the fishing pier. The Galveston Naval Museum, located within the park, offers exhibits related to these vessels and naval history. Visitors can fish from the pier or explore the grounds, which permit leashed pets and alcohol while prohibiting glass containers and open fires. The park provides public restrooms and accommodates special events. Seawolf Park suits families interested in military history, fishing enthusiasts, and those seeking waterfront recreation in Galveston, Texas.
