About Patchogue Arts Council | MoCA L.I - Museum of Contemporary Art Long Island

Patchogue Arts Council | MoCA L.I - Museum of Contemporary Art Long Island is the exhibition space of the Patchogue Arts Council, dedicated to making contemporary art accessible to everyone across Long Island. Visitors explore rotating museum exhibits featuring work by artists at all career stages, with past shows including Eccentric Abstractions curated by John Cino. The museum hosts educational programming including the Learning to Look lecture series, which explores topics like Pre-Columbian Mexico and the School of Paris, and the Wining About Art series combining art history lectures with curated tastings. Workshops cover techniques such as handmade watercolor painting and ebru, the traditional art of marbling on water. The MoCA L.I.ghts program displays contemporary art on downtown building marquees throughout Patchogue. These programs serve artists and community members interested in contemporary work, active participation in classes, and deeper engagement with art history. General admission is free. The museum is located in Patchogue, New York.
